What to Bring

Please watch this video to learn more about what to bring:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DbY0ctGyOWA

Basics:

  • A government-issued ID
  • Show up ready for a full day. Be sure to hydrate the day prior to your tour, and avoid a late night on the town.

All too often we see clients show up after having a few too many the night before, this does not make for an enjoyable day riding.

Keep yourself energized:

  • Be sure to bring food, and water for the day. Energy bars are a great go to for snacks, a hearty sandwich for our mid day lunch, and PLENTY of water. Don't forget to hydrate the day before.

DONT WANT TO WORRY ABOUT PACKING A LUNCH? Reserve a lunch when booking your tour.

Outerwear and Gear:

  • All tours include a full-face Tobe or Klim helmet and goggles
  • BOOTS: Warm, waterproof, snowboard or equivalent boots (Muckboots, Sorrels, or insulated hiking boots will NOT suffice, you will not be able to join the tour with these)
  • OUTERWEAR: Durable, waterproof pants, jacket and gloves (Think a pow day at your local ski resort)
  • LAYER: Dress in moisture wicking "technical" layers. Bring multiple layers so you can adjust to changes in temperature. Avoid cotton.
  • KEEP YOUR HEAD COMFY: Bring sunglasses, a hat and a neck gaiter so you can be comfortable when we take a break.
  • Sunscreen: Don't forget your Sunscreen! Even on cloudy days you can still get a burn.
  • Camera/Cellphone: We won't have a single bar of cell service but you'll want to capture pictures and videos of your day. Your guides will be happy to capture some epic shots for you!
  • Backpack: Our snowmobiles do have a small tunnel bag. (Enough room for your lunch and a water bottle) If you want to be able to pack more we recommend bringing a good backpack with a waist strap.

DONT WANT TO WORRY ABOUT YOUR OUTERWEAR AND BOOTS? Reserve any outerwear you need when booking your tour.

Avalanche Safety Gear:

  • All tours include a avalanche beacon
  • Ortovox Avabag's (Airbag backpacks including a probe and shovel) available for rental

Tipping Your Guides

Our guides dedicate their life to obtaining the utmost certifications and skills to providing you a safe day, unlike any other outfitter. Our lead guides maintain professional Avalanche certifications, Wilderness First Responder certifications and decades of real world experience.

In this unique field we are often asked what the appropriate amount is to tip. We recommend between 15%-20+% per group, split amongst your guides for the day. If they truly show you a unique day they often see tips exceeding that number.

Cash or Venmo tips are appreciated.

It is not just our job - it is our PASSION. It means the world to us that your trust us to provide you, your friends and families with a very special adventure. THANK YOU!

Location

We will ride out from a trailhead within 45 minutes of downtown Park City. Your guide will reach out 48 hours before your tour to establish our meeting location. Our riding locations vary per season, day of the week, rider skill and Avy conditions.
